A Play Date with Alcohol Inks

Every once in a while, I love to give myself permission to just play. No plan, no pressure - just curiosity and color. Recently, I had a little "play date" with myself and pulled out my alcohol inks.

There's something magical about watching the inks spread, bloom, and layer in unpredictable ways. The movement is fluid, almost like dancing on the surface, and I found myself getting lost in the process. It was pure joy - bright colors, happy accidents and a reminder of why I fell in love with making art.

Not every session in the studio has to be about creating a finished piece. Sometimes it's simply about exploring, experimenting, and letting materials surprise you. That sense of discovery keeps my work alive and my spirit refreshed.

I'm already looking forward to my next little play date.
